Lingua lobata

The lobulated tongue is characterised by multiple indentations, scarred grooves on the edge and/or surface of the tongue, surrounded by quadrangular fields with rounded corners. The surface contour appears irregular. Mostly, it indicates the final stage of syphilis or represents an x-linked inherited condition. back
