A habit is an action which was repeated again and again, often unconsciously, and therefore became routine. A wide range of habits exist, some occur more, others less frequently. Some typical examples are twirling hairs, licking fingers, lips licking, lips biting, chewing fingernails and much, much more. An addiction is a pathological dependency, meaning an excessive longing for something or for a particular doing. A typical example is smoking or the consumption of snus.
