Lingua bifida

The bifid tongue or, alternatively called, cleft tongue is based on a whole or partially split midsagittal plane of the tongue. It exists as isolated or complex foetal malformation. A cleft tongue can cause orthodontic, sociologic and aesthetic problems. Surgery at any age is recommended. back
